A post about winter in the summer? That makes no sense! But it does...it's the name of a beautifully sad song by Kina Grannis that really touches my heart. I feel so much when I hear it and sing it. From the moment I first heard the song, before she even released her new album, I loved it. She was inspired by dead flowers when writing this song. These are the types of songwriting skills I hope to be able to gain and use someday for my songs. Anyway, here it is, my cover of Winter. Sorry for the strange angle, I was recording it on a video camera and couldn't see myself, so I didn't know it looked weird. Also I know it's not perfect and I probably sound bad at a lot of parts, but just try to look past that lol. I recorded the guitar and percussion parts separately beforehand in garageband, then recorded the singing/video, then did some harmonies over. Let me know what you think! Thank you for watching <3 |
